Enticing, engaging, and spirited writing transports the reader. It doesn’t matter if it’s about Dar es Salaam or dental floss. I’ve discovered that crafting delightful copy not only sparks joy in me, it also brings life to others.
Hi! I’m Jennica Peterson. If you're looking for an experienced writer, editor, and content strategist that can uplift your story, whether in print or digitally, editorially or commercially, you’ve come to the right place.
My expertise? Writing about sustainable and ethical travel and products of all kinds. I care about this planet and its people. I also know how to sell positive change while elevating your brand.
My writing has been published in several anthologies and magazines, including Afar, Islands, National Geographic Traveler, Garden Design, Sport Diver, and on nationalgeographic.com. I’ve also worked as an editor for Afar, Islands, Sport Diver, and Via. I’ve developed social media strategies for Afar and the company Wilderness Travel, and I’ve written copy for tour companies and resorts. Much of my writing focuses on experiential, ethical, and sustainable travel. I hold a B.A. in English with distinction from Stanford University.
My passion for exploring and learning has led me to travel in about 70 countries. Now I live with my husband and daughter in the small town of Louisville, Colorado, near Boulder.
Lately I’ve focused on writing copy for forward-thinking companies, writing and editing essays and children’s books, and helping other writers to find their own voice. I’m especially proud of my recent copywriting for Cocofloss, an innovative dental floss brand that is working toward sustainability.
